(Livermore, CA) – On April 30, 2007, the much anticipated FiRE + iCE Restaurant opened to crowds of eager guests in downtown Livermore.  FiRE + iCE redefines dining in California’s Tri-Valley region by providing an infinite array of fresh ingredients in an innovative atmosphere where guest and griller interact to make for an exciting experience.

On Saturday, April 28th, FiRE + iCE hosted a VIP Night for special guests, including former Oakland Raider Josh Taves and Livermore’s own Mayor Marshall Kamena.  Guests received the first preview of this dynamic space, located in the new Livermore Valley Plaza, that showcases state-of-the-art LED lighting and a dramatic 25-foot round grill that is custom-painted by local artist Eric Reyes.

Guests chose ingredients for their meal from the marketplace filled with a wide array of fresh vegetables, meats, and fish.  After selecting sauces, their meal was cooked right before their eyes on the giant round grill where grill chefs were ready and waiting to entertain and prepare the meal.  While eating, all enjoyed FiRE + iCE’s revolutionary audiovisual system.  The set-up includes the most up-to-date music video library allowing for an entertaining mix of videos on a 63” and two, 42” high definition plasma screen televisions.

At 2:30 PM on Monday, April 30th, Mayor Marshall Kamena welcomed FiRE + iCE into the Tri-Valley community by cutting a ceremonial ribbon in front of the ever-emblematic round grill.  He was joined by his wife Barbara, Police Chief Steve Krull, and Fire Chief Bill Cody.  Later that day, FiRE + iCE opened its doors to the public for dinner.

FiRE + iCE’s Livermore location has 50 tables, 9 booths, 193 interior seats, and will feature a 55-seat partially enclosed outdoor dining space.  The restaurant is just steps away from a public plaza amphitheater, a new 10-screen cinema and a 500-seat performing arts center.
